Don't judge

I can't count how many times I've heard these words since the start of the school year .  Every step I take every breath I breath is punctuated by these three words: I.  Don't.  Judge.  At first, it was nice.  The words made me feel safe, like I could be whoever I needed to be and no one would try to stop me.  But, alas, that petty delusion faded fast, the only time anyone really says those words is when they are preparing to rain down a typhoon of judgement so hard, that Jesus Christ himself can't help but stop to listen.  If there's one thing high schoolers are great at, it's judging one anouther.  Here's about how it goes:
Me: hi!
Stranger: I don't judge...
Me: that's good to know, so how's your day been?
Stranger: but her hair is so ratchet.
Me: nice weather were having.
Stranger: oh my gowd beckay look at her butt!
Me:  the school is literally on fire, we need to go
Stranger: I can't belive the audacity of that kid over there, how dare she wear those socks with that skirt!
Yeah... You get the idea.

Homework

Today was a day of homework.  It's only the fourth week of school and already I've had eight AP tests.  Not that I really mind.  I just though that I should take this opportunity to thank the only reasons why I'm not in a padded cell right now rocking back and fourth wondering where the the hell Teheran is.  So here goes, thank you to all that have made my sanity possible:
Alverna, my close friend and human-encyclopedia, thank you.
Crash course, thank you.
Cliff notes, thank you.
Google, thank you very much
And finally, last but not least, my dearest thanks go out to Wikipedia. My forbidden love.

Some of my newer sketches...

Some sketches.

First post

Just a few weeks ago, I started high school.  All through junior high  me and and my friends raved about how we could not wait until high school.  And now, here I am sitting in the back of class wishing and praying to be anywhere but here.  Lately, like so many of my other fellow freshman, I have been struggling.  Not with the school exactly, but with other, more pressing matters.  My once inseparable group of friends has been smashed to pieces, and I can't tell if my new "friends" love me, or wish I would go away, either the second-hand pot smoke has fogged my view of the world or people get dumber with age.  The point is, I need a safe place to spew my words into before I shout them out for the whole universe to hear.  So, I'm doing what any self respecting fourteen year old in my position would do,  I'm turning to the internet.
